Cycling events in Scotland
From the Highlands to the Borders. Sportives, gravel, MTB and audax events north of the wall.
Scotland has some of the UK's most dramatic cycling. The Etape Caledonia closes 85 miles of road around Pitlochry each May. Gravel riders have the Dunoon Dirt Dash and the growing Dirty Reiver-style Scottish scene. MTB has the mecca of Fort William for downhill and the Tweed Valley for enduro.
The audax calendar is strong too — the Highlands 600 and the Lands End Groats routes draw long-distance riders from all over Europe. Club time trials run through summer, particularly around Edinburgh and Glasgow.
