UK & Ireland

Cycle races

Road races, crits, time trials and hill climbs. The sharp end of UK and Irish cycling — licence up and get stuck in.

Cycle racing in the UK is governed by British Cycling (with CTT overseeing time trials) and in Ireland by Cycling Ireland. You'll need a race licence for most events — free day-licences are available from BC for first-timers, and entry is typically via the British Cycling Event Finder or CTT's online system.

Criterium series like the Tuesday Night World Championships of the UK, regional road race leagues, and local 10-mile time trials form the week-in week-out grassroots. Premier Calendar and National B races are the step up. Hill climb season closes out the year through October and November.
